Abu

This is Abu, the dominant male orangutan in the Danum Valley area near the Borneo Rainforest Lodge. He's estimated to be over 35 years old. During my very short stay in Borneo, we saw six different wild orangutans, which are very difficult to photograph, as they stay high up in the trees most of the day. Abu did come down and chase us off the trail at one point though...
