Sammy and Lilly

Lilly made an unexpected flight across the room to the cat's tree. Normally the wings are too clipped for such flights.

Lilly thinks she is a giant macaw and just doesn't realize how very lucky she is that Sammy is a patient cat.
Leia, please be very careful with having your cat around birds. Aside from the obvious danger of the cat eating the bird, even a small scratch from the cat swatting at the bird can lead to an infection that could easily kill your bird. Cats, by nature, classify all birds as "organic food" and don't get the concept of "pets".

We are very careful. One cut in the skin can be deadly, as you said, due to the germs in a cat's claws. When one of the birds is startled and tumbles to the ground we yell BIRD DOWN!! loudly and every one jumps up to get it. The cat has stopped going to inspect the fall but we never leave the birds on their cage top with the cat out, unless we are in the same rooms. This is the ONLY time one of the parrots were ever on the cat castle
