Thunderbird

While not taken in the NW, the story comes from our history. College students were contracted to create art pieces for the Bismark ND riverfront park. This piece was about a NW Indian Tribal legend of the Thunderbird. Somewhat ironic for a traveler from WA to discover so far from home. The storm clouds were shot in the Mohave desert and cropped into this shot for the effect. The ND blue sky just didn't do justice to the artwork.
