No, not the Ford ones... these are the North American variety, considered by many to be the best all-around piston-engined fighter ever built. These were taken at the Historic Flight Foundation's "Vintage Aircraft Weekend" event at Paine Field this weekend. There seem to be a growing number of small, privately owned museums in this area collecting and flying restored WWII aircraft, which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. Not only are they preserving history, but dang, those planes are fun to watch!

This P-51B model, "Impatient Virgin?", fitted with the British-designed "Malcolm Hood" canopy, belongs to the Historic Flight Foundation, which hosted the event.
