I'll post my local autumn shots on this thread. Although last weekend's windstorms knocked many leaves off the trees before they attained their full autumn colors, some remain.

Tuesday (10-18-16) afternoon from Brackett's Landing. There was a thunderstorm across the Sound. I saw one large display of lightning followed by a rainbow.

The sunlight and weather conditions created very unusual colors to the water that was hard to capture in a photo.

The tree next to the restroom building contrasted with the dark clouds in the background.

The next stop was Marina Park where I wanted to get shots of autumn colors on Pt. Edwards.

The Chicago bound Empire Builder (Amtrak #8) had two extra cars which required a second diesel engine.

Saturday afternoon (10-22-16) I was photographing birds at the fishing pier with my 5DIII + 500L telephoto + 1.4x teleconverter mounted on a tripod when I noticed a train rounding the bend at Mukilteo. The sun was low, which highlighted Mt. Baker and the autumn foliage. I followed the train's progress along Puget Sound from Mukilteo to Sunset Ave.
