Finally got a shot of an evening grosbeak. They're not rare by any stretch, lots of people see them on feeders... but I don't have a feeder, and most of the time the only other place you see them is waaaaay up in the tops of evergreens. So it was a real treat to see this one down low, and close - 35-40 feet - in a completely natural habitat...

Thanks, Bill! I don't care for feeder shots either. I much prefer to get them in their natural habitat!
Very nice, indeed, Rocky. Yes, I basically don't like feeder shots, unless of course its some rarely seen bird and no other opportunities. Nice work!
