I got a call yesterday from my parents in Vancouver,WA. It was snowing and very cold at the time. One of their Anna's was keeping itself warm by perching on the plastic tube leading out of their house from the clothes dryer vent. It made for a very warm perch as long as the clothes dryer was running.

This young lady has been working hard all day between chasing interlopers away, eating and keeping vigil.

Ever try to catch snowflakes with your tongue? :)

Sometimes the flakes are almost as big as the bird.

Friday morning (2/7) Dexter, the male Anna's who rules my back yard, was doing his Yoga stretches from the top of his sentry shrub.
