My first afternoon of exploring my new environs (Chehalis) yielded this shot of a female kestrel on a signpost beside the road. I spotted her about 75 yards away, and rolled to a stop on the opposite shoulder about 20 yards from her perch. Didn't get out of the car, so as not to spook her, just shot out the open driver's window and got several shots... this one is the best.

Good shot, Rocky. We will miss you up here, but you can keep us apprised of good bird photo locations down there. Daren and I like the Olympic Club. We'll have to get together there for lunch sometime.

Nice Rocky!

Have you moved down there?? As Bill says keep us posted!

Have a great new Year!

Terry

Thanks, guys!
Yes, Terry, I moved to Chehalis about 2 weeks ago. Couldn't afford Puget Sound anymore, and couldn't stand the traffic and crowds and all that goes with them...
