one of my favorite spots on the Washington coast is Ruby Beach, about 30 miles south of Forks. i went out there a couple of weeks ago, and spent the afternoon watching the light change and taking some shots. here are a couple i liked... 5D, 24-135, various settings and exposures...

I have been to this spot and you really got some great shots. I like the second one because of the erie feeling it gives you.

thanks, Donna... Ruby Beach is one of my favorite spots on the Washington coast. i have no interest in places like Ocean Shores or Kalaloch... the beaches there are just flat sand. great for strolling or flying kites, but they have no character. Ruby Beach, and the beaches at LaPush, those are much more interesting IMHO... ;)
