you nailed it on the saluki movement shot, the whippet & gsd are just a fraction off on timeing ... good shots overall

were you there in "official" capacity? didn't see your name on the premium :)

most shows have gotten so sticky about us going in & just shooting anymore ... at Rose City I saw then policing photographers, taking mug shots of them, and even removing some who were shooting more than for their friends

Thanks Nina...nope, not an official. I was just there testing out my new camera on my friends plus a few other random breeds here and there. I sent an email to the kennel club's secty but she never returned my email. There were two other shooters ringside at whippets as well and I know at least one of them has their images for sale which irks me but nobody said anything. I don't sell anything I take unless I have specific permission to do so.

well, at Rose City, I saw how hard it is for them to police it, because everyone & their friends have dslr's, so you have to distinguish who is shooting more than they should ... then confront them, and take them at their word ... one guy (who does sell) was escorted out ... but I saw him back another day

smaller shows should have an easier time LOL but who knows

I'm finally getting my name on the breed programs as official rally/obedience/movement photographer so that will benefit me :)

weird that Albany didn't respond to you ... their april show chair is quite chatty via email LOL

I don't mind that Susie didn't get back to me as it was just a courtesy email. I checked the premium and there was no photographer listed other than the win photo photogs and no photography restrictions listed, so I assumed I wouldn't get kicked out for having a camera. Sometimes I'm caught between a rock and a hard place because I like to shoot my friends (I have been showing dogs since the mid 80's) but there is a delicate line when I am also a professional photographer as there is a lot of drama to be inadvertently stepped in. Anymore I'm too booked during the busiest show season anyway with horse shows to even attend any dog shows, so one or two a year is all I will be able to make.

Oh, and this is the beautiful Reka owned by a friend. She's in the Top 20 and won BOB on Saturday...
