took these yesterday on the road partway up to the Mt. Baker ski area in the northern Cascades of Washington. the sun is so far south, and so low in the sky during the day, that this side of the mountain probably hasn't seen the sun since sometime in early November, and likely won't again till mid April or so... nonetheless, this small stream has managed to resist freezing over completely, and there's still some water flowing in amidst the ice... want a COLD drink? :D 5D, 24-135 @ 85mm, 1 sec @ f/18
