Got high to beat the heat.

Nice photos, and your colorful commentary makes them even more enjoyable.

    Beautiful, worth all the effort.

Great results on your shots. Very Vibrant photos for such a gray day.

    Wishram Pano Shot

Nicely done pano, I need to practice these more often.

    At my feeder.

Nice shots, beautiful detail. In the first photo his head is stretched up so high I didn't immediately reccognize as a hummingbird.

    Cattle Egret

I could eliminate most of it by adjusting the "recovery" slider but don't like what it does to the rest of the photo. I could try layering and mask out the rest.

    Cattle Egret

No, I was fully dressed, Ha....I always wanted to use that, sorry... Why yes, I did.

Me too Ernst, not sure there's anything I can do to improve that. There are actually three narrow areas as I've highlighted here.

    Cattle Egret

Thanks for that research Janice. They were in the exhibit area titled, "The Great Northwest". In this area there are no visible signs of fence or cages. It is well hidden unless you look up. About 20 feet overhead and then down into the surrounding trees and bushes is a net.

    Cattle Egret

Thanks. I had rented, (on wish list), the cannon 70-200 f/2.8 L for a wedding shoot. So the next day I wanted to get some more use out of it with my year membership at the zoo. I love this lens!

Ecola State Park - Cannon Beach

Great shot on your southern exposure, toward Cannon Beach. These are the kind of shots they like to use to draw tourists. It looks so warm, sunny and peaceful. There is a narrow window of days like that on the Oregon Coast.

    Cattle Egret

They tell me this bird is a northwest native, although I had never seen one before. It would be great to say I slogged through the marshes and waited patiently in a blind for days. However, this shot was taken at the Oregon Zoo a couple of weeks ago.

Where to visit in Grants Pass???

Well I think you're right. I noticed the cute bow on his head and wondered what kind of a statement he was making. But, I like your thinking better.

Where to visit in Grants Pass???

Many of these added photos look like they were taken from the raft. I understand, (correct me if I'm wrong), that Zane Grey's cabin is only accessible by river. We have a raft, that is a bit dusty this year, but don't plan to take it.
