Sara came out for an afternoon to shoot whatever came to mind with what he had available. Great fun setting up different lighting sets for different styles of shooting. great practice all are shot strobist style with sunpak 611 and 522, wireless triggers.

Sorta. Not he typical sheets you normally see as I was shooting through a marine layer but I still think they turned out pretty cool. The green is the normal color and the Orange and reds where seen for the first time during this Aurora. This shot was taken facing North east at 8:19 night...

I actually got away from the resort for a bit yesterday Ali and I walked several beaches and went out for Pizza to our favorite place.
I really liked the reflections in this shot taken near dusk

My wife and I might be the only ones to go on the photowalk on this forum this year but if you did it would be great to share a few of your shots in this thread with us. Ali and I did the walk in Port Townsend, WA with about 40 others. A few random shots the walk.

This Heron was hanging out around the place, I was able to get fairly close and get a few decent shots. He flew off as I tried to get a bit closer, I got to within about 100Ft away. shot with A580 and Sigma Bigma 400mm to 500mm handheld
never noticed the flies hanging around the Herons before

A first for me. We had a good friend and her 2 adult daughters over for dinner and took some family shots then moved into the studio to shoot a few maternity shots.

It has been a month or more since my last drive on the 101 around Lake Crescent. Low and behold there has been a new small waterfall spring up next to the highway. Luckily there was a pull off next to this one so I could take a few pics of it.

This is the time of year that the Far west end of the Olympic Peninsula is inundated with Bald Eagles. On a 1/2 mile walk from the resort I counted 15 bald eagles from juveniles to large adults.
