Wait... You saw a wood duck at NWR? Score! I've never seen on there. Granted, I don't exactly spend a lot of time there, but I've not happened across one during any of my visits at all, let alone one that close in. Great colors in the reflection too!

WOW!!! WOOD DUCK!!! I am so jealous. I will trade you NINE ospreys for ONE male wood duck. :)

And congrats on seeing and catching the nesting hummer too. Another great score.

Thanks. Actually there were at least six of em. First time for me too!

Sounds like a great trade, where are the osprey? This was a first for me, and I don' have any decent osprey shots yet.

The Osprey are all over the Vancouver, Washington (Columbia) river banks right now. We never left Vancouver and saw them in several spots. Each new bird was a great surprise as I had never been that close to even one. A friend said they even nest on the Columbia river bridge.

Thank you for the info. Will have to go a little farther south next time we go to Ridgefield.

So ya decided to beat me to the punch eh? That won't happen again :p

I might be tempted to clone out the little piece of grass on the bottom of the in wood duck shot. That'd clean it up super nice. The question now is, do you have any room on your walls?

Nice shots and good shootin' with you again, Bill!

Thanks Dave. I saw that piece of grass and thought about trying to fix it, but not very good at it and wanted to get my WD up before yours;)

Want to try again for this weekend, if the weather cooperates?
