it was raining yesterday on my way home, but by the time i got to the house, it had stopped, and the sun was sorta peeking through the clouds. i grabbed my camera and went across the street for a shot at some iris that are blooming there... i'm really liking what the 7D does with the 100-400 lens - it's proving to be a fabulous combo for flower photos! i'm thinking of making some 12x12 prints, and framing them up in a flower collection...

For those of you who think you have to go to far away exotic places. Find wild animals or amazing locations. Rocky has just shown how it's done.

This shot could be taken in your backyard if you live in the Pacific Northwest. The only fancy tool you need is a good lens with nice bokeh.

Wow ..... thats a great shot.
I think the isolation of the bloom is what makes it ..... there is almost no detail in the background.
