So I was asked to come out and shoot a friends cycling event. Here are a few that I feel came out good enough to share.

A little background on the event. People raced on stationary bikes that simulated a 5 mile course.

As always CC is welcome...However let's not turn this one into a bazuka lens thread. :D

Rest of the photos can be viewed on my flickr.

Cool stuff, Kevin. What a crazy event. That shot of the dude about to lose his chow is priceless! I know it's tough to get clear shots of the subjects at a crowded event like this, but you ended up[ getting some nice images.

If I may offer up one suggestion. Something that was brought to my attention not to long ago was light and eyes. I never really realized that I was ending up with a lot of my subjects with shadowed eyes. It's tough when someone is wearing a hat, or when doing candids, but moving towards an angle where you can light up someones eyes will really help out your portraits, even candid ones.

Thanks for sharing these, Kevin. Cool stuff :)

Thanks. I am pretty happy with them. Most of these were shot with my 50mm the only thing I wish I had was a speedlite flash. So today I went and bought one. Not having one cost me getting the actual yakking photo!
