good catch, Jerome! bitterns are a bit bigger than green herons, but i also thought it was a female greenie at first when i saw one. i've only seen a bittern once, at Juanita, but it let me get quite close and shoot it for about 5 minutes before it wandered off. where did you see this one?

He was at the far end of the pond from the parking lot in the corner that's the greenie hangout
