It was gray and rainy at Semiahmoo but this family of four brightened the day with their red-orange bills. There are two adults and two juveniles here, and I also saw three more farther down the beach.

very cool, Joe! i've seen oystercatchers once or twice, but never managed a photo of one... the name cracks me up, though... "oystercatcher", as if oysters need to be chased and caught!!
