gorgeous day today, sunny, blue sky, temp near 60, so i packed up my gear and headed to my favorite park, Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland. i don't get there as often as i'd like any more... it's a 30 mile drive, and with gas near $4 and the weather as iffy as it is this time of year, i wait till i can count on spending an afternoon there. the 100-400 doesn't give me as much reach as i'd like on the 5D2, but it's quite often just enough... especially if the wood ducks cooperate and come in close! ;)

Wood ducks are beautiful!

I drove by Juanita yesterday, but parking lot was full, so I decided to finish errands and enjoy the nice day at home. So now I know what I missed!

WOW! What a stunning set of photos! Wood ducks are so beautiful and you captured every bit of that. Great action shot in the 3rd photo ... Well done!
