Going through the drive through - Ridgefield

Was in Ridgefield and decided that if I was spending the gas to go that far and it was a sunny weekend, might as well stop at the Refuge. Glad I did.

Here are some of the residents that I caught.

Great Blue Heron with a minnow.

Bad day for minnows, A Lesser Yellowlegs (at least I think it is, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.)

Western Pond Turtle

Red Winged Blackbird

Barrows Goldeneye (another correct me if I'm wrong )

Nutria

looks like you had a good day! not sure about the yellowlegs, but the duck is a ringneck... Barrows Goldeneye drakes have black and white spots on their backs, white spots on their cheeks, and no white rings on their bills.
