I had to make the permanent move to Central Arizona, leaving the wonderful Northwest. So all of you up north keep on posting your great pictures of the mountains, water and forrest. I'll share what I can from down south. The bride and I went to New Mexico to visit our daughter and her family. We had a wonderful time with the whole faily. On the way home we stopped in Holbrook AZ at sunset. Thanks to TPR I was able to find a spot to get a few pictures.
Then it was time to find a spot to stay the night. Not being into the nostalgia I had to pass on these two classics of Route 66.
The next morning we headed for the Painted Desert. After passing through the entrance of the park we had this view from the first view spot to pull off of the road.
After numerous stops we entered the Blue Mesa area of the park.
