went up to Mt Rainier today, the forecast called for mostly clear skies and sunshine this afternoon. got there, after a 2+ hour drive, only to discover the weatherman lied!
not being one to waste an opportunity, though, i figured i'd make the best of it. the wildflowers were in full bloom - the smell was incredible! - just wish i'd had better light for 'em!
I kinda like the mystery of what's on the other side the clouds provide you! Reminds me of Scotland!
With the exception of sunrise/sunset, clouds are the best weather for flowers. I've tried going up to Rainier twice when I thought it was cloudy this year and ended up with sun, so I have the opposite problem
I love Rainier when it's cloudy, the the colors get so saturated when it's like that.

yeah, i like the soft light and the mystery the clouds provide, but i'd been hoping to use the peak as a backdrop for the flowers...
