greater yellowlegs

this little fella was foraging along the water's edge at a pond near Keystone, on Whidbey Island, yesterday... same pond where i found the sandpipers. unlike the sandpipers, however, this one was pretty skittish, and would take off if i got any closer than about 20 yards. i "chased" it around the pond a couple of times, and managed these shots... not my best, but better than any other shots i have of a yellowlegs... tip o' the hat to Joe for correcting my ID of this little fella!
