Got some halfway decent photos as well as a wicked uneven sunburn, but it was worth it, saw lots of really neat stuff!

I'm enjoying your photos, I especially like the the group shots. Do you the story of what's happening in the last shot? The vapor appears to be forming and trailing from the cockpit area?

Depending on how humid air can be and the speed and angle you pass through it, you can get this kind of vapor off a wing in certain conditions. It wasn’t anything the F-18 was venting out. I was sort of shocked at the time as it was trailing off the wingtips right before they pitched up. I didn’t think at the time that the air was all that humid but I guess it was.
It was downright cloudy and a little chilly that morning. I got some shots of a C-17 doing supply and troop drops but the contrast looked like heck and those photos didn’t look very good other than as illustration.

neat stuff... i'd love to have gone, if for no other reason than to get shots of the F-4, but i hate crowds, and the hassles and traffic...
