quite a shot, Ron! and to think some fool went over that in a kayak... sheesh! looks like there's a trail down to the riverbank... i bet that'd be a heckuva shot from down there!

Three thumbs up for this one. After passign that for over 30 years and never stopping I made a stop there two years ago and it's quite a surprise out in the middle of what looks like desert wasteland.

That is a great photo!

I have seen more water going over the falls though, I saw a shot with a tremendous amount of muddy water going over. However, this is a nice flow in this shot, and my impression is that it's more than normal. Also, the clear water looks nicer in my opinion.

Thanks everyone. I finally got a real WA lens that is wide enough to catch both the falls and the valley below. I got the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 and so far I am very happy with it. It is a bit limited for range, but works very well for it's intended use!

Amazing what a difference a wide angle lens makes!

I've got a Nikkor 18-200 lens for my D300 and it's a really versatile lens.

Last year I got a project that required photographing hotel rooms. The 18 mm wasn't cutting it. I rented a 12-24 lens. I was worried about just how much difference there would be. 12 mm vs 18 mm, is that even noticable? You bet it's noticable, the difference is amazing!

If you're reading this and haven't played around with a wide angle lens, give it a try, you may be pleasently surprised!
