well, it's a photo of a photo of a cityscape... does that count? this is actually a picture of a postcard that just came out, featuring a shot of Seattle from Kerry Park that i took a couple of years ago. i only made a modest sum for it, but the idea that a photo i took will be on display at newsstands, hotels, gift shops and the like all over the Seattle area is kinda neat! i'm still an amateur, after all, so this is pretty exciting... hopefully i won't ever get so jaded that i cease to be thrilled at having my work published...

I'm curious, how did you go about getting your work on the postcard? Did you contact them, or did they find your work someplace and ask to use it?

Meanwhile, that's a great example of the classic Kerry Park view. I also like the fact that it's a public park, so people can actually go and see the scene themselves too.

thanks, Bob. actually, i did some research, looked on the backs of some postcards and found the publisher. this particular one accepts only images taken within Washington state, so i emailed them to confirm their submission guidelines, then sent them a CD of images. this is the one they picked...
