there were 4 rails having an orgy in the reeds down at Juanita this evening... i spent about 20 minutes waiting for one of them to come out in the open. finally, this one dared to cross an open space at something less than warp 6... of course, by then, the light was gone, so this was shot at ISO 1600 with fill flash. and since it was shot point-blank (about 12 feet) and wide open, so the DoF is about 4 inches, and even the back of the bird is a bit soft, but with these little stinkers, ya takes what ya can get! 150mm, 1/250 @ f/5
