went down to Edmonds this afternoon, looking for woodpeckers at the hatchery. met up with Bill and Daren, Terry and Janine. no woodpeckers. Terry left. Bill and Daren and i went over to the marsh, where Janine joined us a bit later... Wesley was there, mugging for the cameras as we all clicked away. 7D and Tammy 150-600 @ 600mm, shutter speeds between 1/125 qnd 1/200...

Daren continues taking bird photos. While I was set up with the 5DIII + 500L telephoto + 1.4s teleconverter, Daren used the 7D + 100-400L telephoto zoom. Here are his shots of Wesley taken while standing beside Rocky.

And here are two of mine taken with the 5DIII + 500L telephoto + 1.4s teleconverter. Wesley was upset with us that we were spending so much time photographing the snipes and not paying enough attention to him.

Daren's photography continues to improve. It helps when he has a cooperative model like Wesley who will perch close by and hold the pose for a long time. Taken Tuesday (4/7/15) with the 7D + 4.0/70-200L telephoto lens.

Hey, it looks like you and I should start taking lessons from Daren - this is Good! BTW, that 70-200 is some lens!
