Your best shots of 2011

Time for our annual "Year in Review" topic.

The concept is simple, show us some of your best photos from 2011.

Start a thread in the "Your Best Shots - 2011" category, and include your name as part of the title. (You can use your real name or your user name, your choice.)

If you don't know how to start a thread, just ask, one of the moderators will be happy to make one for your images!

Post a sample of your best shots, along with some discussion on why you chose them. That can be as simple as "I liked these shots the best" or you can tell us the story behind each image if you'd like.

We suggest posting at least 5 images and no more than 20. "Top Ten" and "Image of the month", featuring one image from each month of the year are popular methods for doing this.

However, feel free to come up with your own ideas and post your images in the way that you prefer. There are no rules, and there won't be any voting. Critiques, as usual, will only be done upon request.

I was just thinking of this last night and had already started going through my shots from this year to weed out and figure out the ones I was going to submit.

Sassy, this is the third year we've done a "best of" series, and it's one of the most popular topics we run. Everyone enjoys participating and seeing what others have done.
