It's Owl Season..... Again

Short-eared owls are daylight hunters, so good shots are assured if the owls are present. They share their habitat with northern harriers, so fights between the owls and harriers or fights with other short-eareds are common.
 
While there's a Snowy owl at Fern Ridge in Lane County, Oregon; There's also one that has been making it's rounds in Polk Co. most recently over the weekend in Dallas, OR. Sunday it was perched on a resident's roof. The owl was seen in a different area of town on Monday and there haven't been any reports of it being relocated by birders since.
